Leadership
Michael McCorkle
President
A first-generation master-builder born in Newtown Square, PA holding a degree in construction management, he developed a passion for construction in his early teens while working for a historic renovation company. It’s been over 30 years since Michael McCorkle founded Micon Construction and his mission remains the same. He is focused on “integrity, superior quality, lasting relationships, and personal service.
Michael is personally involved in every project from inception through completion and works closely with each client so they understand the construction process. Each project is managed by one of our highly skilled and experienced foremen in addition to Mike carefully overseeing each project along with them. The Micon team is comprised of fully engaged, talented professionals that work diligently to meet the highest standard of quality craftsmanship and are dedicated to superior construction and customer service.
Whether your project is from the ground up or a complex renovation; regardless of its size, your project will be managed throughout the entire construction process by our highly qualified team.

Pre-construction
Initial Contact / Site Visit
- The initial site visit or meeting allows us to listen to your needs, establish your vision, level of detail, and project budget.
- Either predesign where we can help you with architect selection for design or review of your existing plans & specifications.
- Conceptual estimate – This preliminary estimate gives you closer accuracy of the budget required, prioritizing and modifying if necessary.
Planning
- Construction drawings – fine-tuning scope & specifications for construction and final project cost
- Project cost estimate – Approval, incorporation into final contract / construction agreement
- Planning support – regulatory approvals
