Featured Project

Marshalton

Our customer envisioned transforming a ruined turn-of-the-century dairy barn into a garage and entertainment area. The challenge? The barn had fallen into such disrepair it had become a hazard – and the design plan called for it to be attached to the main house, also a converted turn-of-the-century barn.

A Tight Space Transformed

With the barn ruins located in a courtyard between the main home and existing old stone walls, Micon Construction’s team executed some intricate footwork with the construction equipment.

Our experience with historic buildings was essential to successfully remove the existing structure – without compromising the adjacent stone walls or the home’s barn structure areas. We reconstructed the barn on its original footprint and incorporated it into the main home.

A New Garage and Improved Lifestyle

The customer’s new garage fits seamlessly into the existing home and old stone walls.
